Embrace Change, it Happens a Latte!
Oxford Dictionary’s informal definition of an addict is “An enthusiastic devotee of a specified thing or activity.” I’ve got a list of things I am enthusiastically devoted to – two being coffee and design. For the past few years I’ve been capturing images of latte designs in my coffee house ventures, and I’ve finally gotten enough to put some of the best together in one picture.
We have a lot of talented Baristas in the Traverse City area, and what I love about the designs are no two are the same, the designs last for the entire cup of coffee, but they change with time. The designs change, but they also retain a bit of their original shape. A lot like us.
Maybe that is part of the “enthusiastic devotion” – capturing these latte designs with time makes me think of my nine year old self versus my sixty something self. Changed, yet still the same. Like the latte is still coffee, the little girl is still the older woman, and both are to be respected for who they are, how they started, and what they have become.
This brings me to the crux of this blog – my first of many to come. My daughter Alyssa and I are sharing the blog experience, and we are new at it. We both have design experience, but we are a new company, and much like the latte, we expect changes (in fact we embrace it). So we hope that you embrace us, get to know us, make us a regular stop.
Here is the original picture created out of my many lattes:
And here’s a good website you can use to pick out frames (no, we are not getting money if you click into this, like I say, we are new to blogging…)

Here are the frame choices that I picked out – you can help me out, tell me which one you like best:
And last but not least, a personal touch. I’ve framed some of my prize moments from those coffee visits at the same website.
I’m liking this website – finally, a way to get some of my digital media framed with just one stop!
